This album brings back to life the talent of Baden Powell, who died in 2000 at the age of sixty three. The albums trace the life story of one of the greatest guitarists in the history of Brazilian music through excerpts from interviews. The songs here, with one exception, have never been released before. Including recordings from concerts and rehearsals, from Europe to Rio de Janeiro, these albums illustrate Powell’s career, and include his own songs alongside those he wrote with Vinicius de Moraes, as well as others by Pixinguinha, Moacir Santos and Garòto. Released in September 2006 on Iris Music.
